Wow Jane this is amazing. Did you really have the camera on the kayak and is your 400mm lens not heavy? I'm impressed. I love your background editing and the sharpness of the bird. I kept looking at it thinking it might somehow be a stuffed bird. Hah, well beautifully captured and beautiful colors. I agree, the branch adds to the overall quality of the photo.

Dirk I love this image. It is a pleasure to look at as it definitely keeps my interest. I like the left to right direction my eye goes and the bush/tree kind of making the eye stall a bit. I like that there is a gentle wriple in the water and there is no distraction of a busy sky just a light overcast to balance the water. Nicely seen and captured. |

I agree a very nice shot. I have never been to the carnival. I had no idea such a photo worthy event was available so close. I like Lance's crop. I know how difficult it can be to work around audiences. |
