Great idea and composition here. Simple and straight forward. For me I would like a little more contrast with the dark part darked and lights lighter. I think it would give it more 3 dimensionality. Seems a bit flat. I love simple compositions like this. I played around with the clarity slider are the highlights and shadows in LR. Let me know if you like it. I don't have my photo monitor so may be off on exposures a bit. |

Lance I really like the shadows in this image. Nicely composed! I definitely feel the sunlight coming in the window just looking at it. |

Cecilia I agree about the crop but I commend you on the attempt. Every time I try a close up macro like this I fail miserably. I can't decide if I like the leaves as much or better than the bud. I want one to be in focus. It would also be helpful for my eye if the leaves or bud was darker in tone as well. |

Very brave of you. Food is difficult to photograph for sure. I love that the bottle is reflected on the shiny surface and wish the whole bottle was included. There is a distracting spot (hopefully not my screen)under the plate. I too like the color version as the b/w makes sandwich fixings too dark. I like the simple set up and love the bottle!. |

Debasish I love how this image leads me right through it. Down and up the other end. I took the darks down a bit more as for me it emphasizes the sunlight and makes the shade relief more pronounced. After pulling it out of LR it doesn't look that much darker than yours but I like the added punch and total personal preference. Nice image. |
