Jane I also like that there is no one or thing in the dunes which lets the eye really see the z pattern. I would crop the sky down too where it's lighter (whiter from clouds) making it more a panorama type image. I think then the focus is more on the sand pattern. Lovely image, very calming. |

Damon this is such a beautiful building. I love photographing buildings myself. I think the tonal quality of the submitted image is great for me. The building stands out as the subject and the sky is secondary. Your Mac version had too much contrast for me as the first thing I noticed was the sky. I did straighten the building in LR because I always notice if a building is straight the very first thing. I love that people are included to give scale. I don't mind you are slightly off center. It's nice and sharp and I think the b/w highlights the building better than the color. I like your cropping off the bottom. Great job. |

Bernie this image is a smile maker in that the beautiful single flower stands out, catches my eye and makes me smile. The water droplets add to the beauty and feel of freshness. You have composed its location in the picture in an off center pleasing spot and the surrounding areas of the image are soft and become secondary. The floor is a bit distracting, maybe burning it a bit would help. But overall nice job. I'd play with that more elsewhere for sure. |

Lovely capture of the seashore. I like the nice s curve of the water, the diagonal lines of the waves and the horizontal line in the horizon. Makes a nice composition for me. Beautiful Jose. |

Lovely portraits Lance. I think I will try that next time I actually get a chance to see my grandkids in person. The softness of #1 and the fact she is looking into your eyes gives me the feeling of connection to her. #2 is perfect for her as I can just imagine how busy she is! |

Welcome Cecilia. I love the composition of this. The quiet water, still grass and leafless tree. The birds are great. My eye is drawn from upper left down through the tree to lower right. Great combo of serene and action in this. I do think I prefer Lance's version due to it's greater use of midtones which for me matches the quiet feel of the scene. But that of course is personal. Great Job! |

Debasish this beautiful and I do agree that the color version is more pleasing and interesting. The leaf color is so striking, with the colors coming through on the water droplets as well. I like the more pronounced leaf veining in the color version as well. What were your camera settings? |
