Oh don't get me wrong I like the image and the fisherman. I was just giving you my personal subjective response to it. I would say not objective at all, which I think, happens all the time when people look at other's photos. You respond with your own story. You did a great job! |

Yes easy to point that out (seeing) when I am looking at an image but, yes, a difficult practice to make habitual in real time. For me, this image is about the fisherman, and the rods are important to the story, as are the potential fish coming out of the water at the end of the line which we can't see. I want to imagine the fish jumping onto the bait and out of the water which I can't do if it's not there. Also I don't think the additional beach included on the right add the the fishing element. So I am not really talking about cropping but taking another shot and recomposing it farther left. (unless you cropped this image and there is a lot original content there. Anyway that is just my little story I made up for your image ;-) |

Damon nice capture of the fishermen but I agree that maybe the next time you try this you leave a bit more on the left and a little less on the right. I would try this again. But then again I'm biased, love fishing! Otherwise I like the composition. Maybe pay attention to where the closest head is in relation to backdrop. Land mass is running right behind it. If you could get the head above or below as the other one is, maybe, just a thought. But I like it. |

This totally makes me smile. My suggestion would be to set up this photo by clearing out the other ornaments nearby. I think this ornament alone surrounded by just tree branches and lights would be lovely, just a thought. Did you manually focus for use the auto focus? It is surprising it isn't super sharp with the tripod. Anyway such a fun image. |

Emmy this is gorgeous! I like that the peaks are not solid snow as the snowline shows it's probably not midwinter anyway. It's more realistic and very peaceful. I would maybe crop the right side up to and including the buoy as this edge doesn't add anything to the photo for me. So beautiful the Tetons. Beautifully done.

What a beautiful sunset! The colors are spectacular. I love how my eye is drawn from the bottom right to the beginning of the pier on the left to the end of the pier then right to left in the sky. A nice calming motion. I assume you were as low as possible but was thinking if you could get lower the couple's heads might clear the pier or maybe if you waited until they got to the end and their heads naturally were higher the pier in back. Other than that, very nice! |

lol, don't you love that altered reality thing? Thanks for the suggestions. I will look those people up. I found it interesting and fun enough to pursue some more I think. |

Nice selection of photo. converting to digital and b/w is such a process. Honestly I think I prefer the color version as it adds to the vintage feel and the soft atmosphere. Beautiful capture of the falls. I likke the foam leading my eye from lower left to below the falls on the upper right. |

Jose this is beautifully done. Love the details, nice background, the ruffles in the skirt. It all seems nice and sharp yet soft feeling. Well done, |
