OK. Great capture. Everything about it is sharp, clear, color is good as is the story. Now my prejudices kick in. Our club and a couple of others in the area are complaining about BIRDS. We have 3 or 4 members that are doing nice bird shots. Using 400 to 600 mm lenses and waiting for the birds to show up. No matter what they are getting top judgments in in every non-specified category. I'm not meaning to taking anything away from their (or your) work, it's good. But those doing architecture, still life or creative, or portraiture, are doing equally good work and not getting the recognition deserved. It's too bad. |

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family also. I like this very much. The clouds add to it. I agree with the comments of the others and really can't add a lot to it. Nice job.

Definitely a wall hanging. I really like this shot. I agree with the crops that have been suggested. Maybe a little bit off the bottom also. I am learning the hard way that great shots such as this are great at home. Saleable when displayed. However judges give bland blasé response unless they are in India or some such place. Maybe instead of the name PSA it should become PSW. Enough.

Now you're in my interest field. Love rust. I like this shot. The colors are great. I do like Karen's idea of less of the black corners. Also, maybe it's my eyes (probably is) but it doesn't seem tack sharp. I think the stand alone is fine. |

My wife is an old 4H'er. Maybe better would have been a former 4 H'er. She liked this. She raised sheep. Said that this was they way they got the sheep ready for show. They first "carded" them to get the dirt out of their wool. She talks a contest they had about cleaning a sheep fresh from the pasture.
I don't think not seeing the faces is a problem. It is an environmental shot of people at work. The lighting lends itself well to being in the barn. As I write this I can smell the hay and listen to the chatter of the handlers.
It might be of interest to a 4H magazine or sheep breeder magazine.

Still on my bucket list. I like the composition of this shot. I am having a difficult time with the focus point. I have tries it a lot, but using the hyper-focal distance I think would have improved this a lot. It would have given you a sharp image from the front to the far distance. |
