OK, you ruined my day. I looked at the original several times and was already to say "I loved it". That's because I thought it was white frosting with Hersey Kisses all over it. Now that you tell me it's thorns, that did it. In that case I do think the DOF could have been a little deeper. Seems to get very soft not too far into the frame. I'm going back to the cake and like it a lot more. After all, you said it was an abstract so I can make it whatever I want. |

I like this image. And, I wanted to see how it would do cropped some. I think the vastness of the sea made the boat look very small. And that was OK. Puts everything in perspective. But, I wanted to see more of the action. I think either way is OK. Just my opinion. |

I agree with the others. Nice composition. It gives the fern a 3rd dimension look. I think the fern is so strong it more than compensates for the vivid background. |

I really like this shot. Maybe because the bench reminds me of me when I get up in the morning. I like the branches. They continue the story in the image. Nice catch.

I think I like the shot, except. The sun flare on the left while effective distracts from the central point of the shot. I think otherwise the colors are wonderful and the storm is great. |

Welcome back to the action Bob. I like this shot. We haven't been to Oregon but it's on my bucket list. The two people in the shot do give a different perspective and are a great addition to the image. I find the focus started off great but seemed to have lost it about 1/4 of the way in. The grasses seemed to get blurry. Maybe it was the wind. I also wonder if you had used an f/11 or f/16 your hyperfocal might have carried a little better.
