Thanks for the hints. No I didn't use a ND filter. I don't know how effective it would have been. When we go up again maybe if I can drag my butt out of bed early enough I'll try it and see. I tried "taming" the light a little, but that's what it was and won't let me change it without going ugly gray. |

I thought it was his/her beauty pose. I think I might have tried to darken the sand a bit and raised the color of the subject. Bill's idea of "bad squid" works also.

I think it's a nice shot of the castle. Tough to get with the strong light coming in that window without a composite metering the room and then the window. Mono works nicely. |

I think the positioning of the woman on the right lets my eye wander in from the left and stop there. The colors are good. I think she adds some interest to what otherwise another fall color photo. MAybe you could lighten her up a little and that would create more interest. |
