To me more sharpness on the lower part of the front grass would allow for both |

To me her expression looks more "sweet", and/or "am I doing this right?" Than attitude. Her pose says attitude so it feels a bit confusing. But her clothing and tats tell such a great story that goes along with the pose. It seems as if she feels connected to you and wants to please you. Re the lightening of background…I would use the select subject mask in LR, invert it and lighten it (the background). I could see spending hours photographing this wonderful subject…well seen |

I love Bison and the snow adds a lot. Your focus and composition work for me. My one suggestion would be lots more contrast. The snow looks gray not white and the bison dark gray not black |

Living where I do, this is a familiar scene that I try now and again to capture. I think you did a good job with the B and W conversion and the PShopping out of the branch in your redo. To me I like the movement, the contrast, the composition. The one thing I would wish to be different is I wish the foreground bunch of grass were more tack sharp. I wonder where you focused or if it was the effect of f 22 |

Beautifully sharp on the wings and sharp enough on the eye and breast… giving it a slightly artistic feel that I enjoy. I like how the tail feathers wrap around the legs. The breeding colors show themselves in all their glory. The background supports the grace and beauty perfectly. To me the wing posture is somewhat unique which adds to the interest of the photo. The only thing I might change is just a tiny bit more space ahead of him so he has flying room |
