I'd love to see this in B and W too but I do like the color. Perfect moment, perfect freezing of action while also giving some blur to the flying dust. I find it a bit tight. I wonder if this is cropped and if so you could give just a bit more breathing room around the edges. If not, you could try extending the canvas bottom and left side just a tiny bit and see how PS does with filling in the edges. I think I'd also raise the shadows in the bull's eye a bit with an adjustment brush. Nice job with getting the catch light |

I'm wondering about the background cloths you carry…how would you have held them in place in this setting? |

What a gorgeous head dress. I t does make me wonder re its story. Good colors and exposure despite your wishing for a flash. I wonder if that would have improved it. WOuld you have used off camera flash from the side? I suspect straight on flash would have made it seem flat. Since you had a 28-75mm lens and shot this at 50mm, I would have loved to see it just a bit wider angled so that we could see the whole length of the central circle feathers. My only other suggestion would be that it is ALMOST symmetrical. I think symmetry would be great here but there is a tiny bit more room on left than right and it seems just tiniest bit off level. When an image is almost symmetrical but not quite, I find it distracting. |

Wonderful colors, good sharp focus, nice light, diagonal line, subject coming out of the corner, and gorgeous bokehed green background. I imagine you fit the spiral over it but to my eye the edge of the is a tiny bit too tight to the corner of the frame making it feel a bit cramped. Giving it a tad more breathing room is my only suggestion |

What an amazing structure. I like how the light almost gives it a sheen. I find the people with their cut off legs and the flower containers cut off at the bottom as well as the little bit of tree top above right side of fence somewhat distracting. I think the people could be a bonus to the shot if they weren't cut off because they would add to the story and give a sense of size. Perhaps you could have stepped back a bit but maybe there was a reason you couldn't. I think of something a favorite teacher of mine called "edge patrol"…to be sure to look around the edges of the frame before hitting the shutter. I often forget but when I remember it really strengthens my images |
