Jay,
Great post processing on this image. You've increased the impact with your post processing and the crop. Leading lines draw my eye into the icicles which is the focal point. Nicely done. |

Sophie,
I think this is a really great image. Since this is so far from the type of photography I do I'm intrigued, but have trouble with a critique. I see nothing wrong with it and my eye is drawn in and stays on the main dancer. It makes me wish I'd been there to see the show. Nice Job! |

Henriette,
I absolutely love these trees and can see what captured your attention and imagination. It may not surprise you, but I like the drama and emotion in the original image. I feel it is more powerful and has more impact. The strong silhouette frames the lower tree so nicely. Both images are great, but my preference is the original. Well Done!

Very nice image Sanford. Minimalist images have a lot of emotion as this image does. Very good job correcting the white balance in the final image. I think there are numerous crops that you could do with this image, and all would work quite well. |

Trey, This image has a number of great compositional elements. The three pipes, the diagonals triangles, leading lines, fill the frame - just to name a few. And they all work very well for a great image. The conversion to monochrome is a great choice for this image. Reflections are always tough to deal with but they work well to represent the smooth texture and light reflection of the surface. The only area that bothered me just a touch was the left bottom corner. You might consider fading that from light to dark without the reflections showing. I think the eye would move into the frame just a little bit better. Well done. I like it a lot.
