Thank you Trey. I shot this in a photo cube with two lights although I can't remember how the lights were set up. I often take a lot of shot so I have lots to work with.
The background is a piece of tri-fold display board made of foam core. I have attached a large piece of black velvet fabric to the board. When shooting with the black background and plexiglass bottom I usually stop down two stops or the exposure is too bright. Thanks for asking. |

Thank you Cyndy. I'll be sad when all the flowers are gone, but I have many images to go through and process over the winter. |

Great image Cyndy. I especially love monochrome images and the process you have used make this quite impactful. I'm anxious to try several of the processing techniques you used. I have not used Topaz Clarity or Orton yet. Looking forward to it. Nice job. |

Very nice image Sanford. The monochrome was a great choice and creates even more mood than the original, which already had a good amount of moodiness. The only thing I think I would change would be to drop or raise that center line so it wasn't dividing the image. Just a subjective suggestion. All in all a wonderful image. |

Trey. I love this image. I simply wanted to step into this scene. I do prefer the whiter water of the original, but I am familiar with water that is more the color of your edited image - in Montana years ago. Very nice job.

I love that there are no rules. I have done a bit of ICM and at first found it sort of tricky. I think you've done a good job for an OOF image. This subject matter works well here. |

Thanks Ian. I pulled the original PS image back up and since I use Smart Objects I was able to go back into ACR and use the visual spots feature in the spot removal tool. It was very slick. I found many more spots than you identified and I definitely will use this tool in the future especially with a very black background. I know about that tool, but don't always use it. Thanks. My image is now very clean. :)
Thanks again. |
