I think the recommendation on the cropping is a good one. I regretted that the antenna was cropped out and this is a very good solution. I agree too about the sharpness of the head. I'll go back and look at the f-stop. I have many grasshoppers these days and am now working with my macro lens and the tripod (and smaller apertures) to get everything a bit sharper. Thanks for your thoughtful comments. ~Heidi |

Very nice image Sanford. Brightening the image made a big difference. The composition is good and the clouds are wonderful.

Nice macro Jay. I do agree with Trey about brightening the white area of the flower, creating more tonal difference behind the bee. I think the bee would still be what attracts your eye, maybe even more so. Very nice image. |

Cyndy, This is just a fun whimsical image. The lighting is great and you processing works so well. The only think I would maybe change is the bright red border. I think it takes away for the image itself. I know it is very much a personal preference.
A small, thin stroke border might be worth a try.
It is a very nice image. I like it very much. |

I think the monochrome conversion was an excellent choice. The white pops, making this image much more interesting. The only thing I would possibly change would be to not have such a tight crop - a little more area around the caboose would have worked as well. It is a very nice image. |

I really like the yin yang feel of this image - competing and complementary forces. The rocks are strong and powerful with a lot of contrast and the top two-thirds are softer and serene feeling due to the fog and apparent soft focus. Like yin and yang there is a positive versus negative feeling when I look at the image as a whole. I don't think I would change a think. I like it a lot. Well done. |

Thank you Trey for taking the time to comment. I will do a bit of sharpening if I can. I haven't done a lot of sharpening, but am looking forward to my options and will look them up. Hopefully it will make a difference.
