I'd love to see this in B&W. Try it.
Will you please do your black and white treatment this month? I'd love to see it. |

Classic OR coast. I appreciate the light reflected in the water in the foreground, and the texture. Focus looks good all around. I think the exposure works. I know this is a color palette you really enjoy, and do well.
I think you might want to take a look at your right-most rock. It appears unnaturally blue to me, and has edge-glow, telling me it may have been edited a bit hard.
For me, I don't know if brightening (or "opening up") the shadows would do much for you. I mean, we already have detail in them, and doing so might make them seem unnaturally lit from opposite the sunset. But, I don't know about that.
Anyway, kudos to you for adding another image to your "Vibrant Sunset" collection. It is IMMENSELY valuable to have your own thing, and be good at it...IMHO. |

Wow. Scenery!
Good exposure to my eye. Focus seems tack sharp. Colors are muted as they would be in nasty weather.
I have a couple of suggestions, which are completely possible with the image as-is, and if you feel like experimenting:
Recrop to put your subject (whatever that is) at one of the rule-of-thirds intersections. I see some very interesting rocks, but some less interesting stuff on the bottom and right side of the frame. Play with cropping to see how it feels to you.
Try selecting the sky, and playing with dehaze/clarity/contrast to add texture to the sky, adding the gloomy/stormy mood you were going for. While you're at it, reduce exposure (or clone out) the bright piece of land in the upper left..
Anyway, great concept/subject. Good work.

Love the fairly monochromatic look. I really dig the arc of the school of fish. Exposure looks appropriate and focus appears right on to me. Like the highlights on some of the fish toward the front. Composition from upper left, following the school, to bottom right is nice.
Not sure if the rising bubbles help the image, but ya gotta breathe right? Would like to see dappling in the surface, and texture in the rays emanating from the sun slick, both of which might be possible via editing.
Thanks for continuing to post underwater stuff. It's a great excursion for us, especially me.
P.S. Cuttlefish are cool man. |

Man, I have a shot somewhere almost exactly like this, shot at the Tacoma Zoo (yes zoo). Not as nice though.
Good eye. Super ethereal. Great color contrast. Love the shapes and golden ratio spiral composition. |

Thanks Anne.
The dog's owner has him in the woods constantly, and not uses him as a hiking companion, but a hunting dog as well. So, this guy has about four different electronic devices on him for sending commands, locating him, and I don't even know what else. I think removing all that stuff would clean up the image, but then again, this is how I see Wyatt (the dog) every day, so it seems natural.

Actually, Rita, I love dogtography. In fact, I probably have more shots of dogs than anything else. It's what first gave me the idea to start marketing myself. But, I don't seem to do it that much anymore.
Don't know what the dog is looking at. Probably his master.
