By the way, Jay, in reading your bio our paths somewhat crossed. I was born in Richmond and spent four years in Lexington also, but at VMI. |

Thanks for the suggestion Jay. I've never played with a radial filter. Is that a physical filter or something in post? |

I like the image. I especially like the angle you shot it at. I'm retired now but spent many years helping design structures that perpendicular to the ground. I'm not sure I would have ever thought about this composition, but it works. The patch of light, to me, makes the image more realistic. |

My first impression is where's the rest of the photo and when I read what you were trying to do, IMHO you nailed it. I agree with you, anything more would have been a distraction. And I agree that this is definitely best in black and white. Just curious, how did you capture the shot? Did you follow them or were you stationery as they walked by? |

Excellent travel photo. I really like the prospective of the photo. You really get to appreciate the height and design of the mosque the the foreground show the closeup detail of the walls and windows. Very interesting! |

I like the crop v. the original. If the sternness of the horse head is what you were after, you nailed it. I would either in pre or post remove the leaves around the front of the vase and the grass growing between the tiles; but that just me. |

Here's my cropping attempt. I think it's an improvement. |

Your image really makes me feel like I'm there. After all isn't that what a photo is suppose to do. For what it's worth the clouds are what caught my eye at first. I didn't see the sheep until later.
