60 Mar 21 Comment Thanks Emmy. I went to YouTube but was not able to find the video. not only was the baby moving it's head it was pulling it's leg (and water) up at the same time. Mar 22nd
60 Mar 21 Reply Thanks for the feedback Dianne. I'm somewhat new to the post processing world. Would you explain "burn the bottom edge and dodge the top"? :-) Mar 22nd
60 Mar 21 Comment Emmy, the horizontal crop doesn't do much for me. It seems flat. The vertical crop gives me depth perception and understanding about what's going on. As you said "street photo mood". Mar 22nd
60 Mar 21 Reply Damon, if you remember where you saw Matt Kloskowski's video, would you send me the link? Mar 22nd
60 Mar 21 Comment Very interesting! At first I thought it was some kind of a florescent jellyfish. If you were trying to give an image of something like a jellyfish I'm not sure a greater DOF would work in your favor from a distance. The first thing that caught my attention was the color and brightness. I would be very interested in learning how you created this. Mar 19th
60 Mar 21 Comment Beautiful Jane. The silhouettes really add depth for me. Where is Bandon? I agree with Damon, the sharpness of the waves at 1/40s is interesting. Mar 19th
60 Mar 21 Comment Hi Richard. I agree with all the above. Making lemonade out of lemons in by photography experiences has been a challenge for me. Your photo is a very good lesson learned for me. Thanks for sharing. Mar 17th
60 Mar 21 Reply Thanks for the input. I think some of baby blur is movement and some is very fine fuzz. I don't remember exactly how far away I was but it was significant. Mar 17th
60 Mar 21 Reply "Being there and knowing how to take advantage of it", IMHO is what it's all about. Mar 17th
60 Mar 21 Comment Great architecture and I love the lighting. My eyes were drawn to the alter. The reflection of the lights in the baptismal font are also eye catching. I don't know the correct term, but I also like the feeling of depth. What is the blue light reflected in the foreground floor. Is that something that could be fixed in post? Mar 16th
