Diane, I really like the soft feel of this beach scene. I have always done my beach shots bright and colorful. this make me want to try your approach. You do set a high bar to reach though. I also thought it was monochrome at first. |

Damon, thanks for getting me to think about metering. In retrospect I'm pretty sure (in Nikon terminology) I used pattern metering but probably should have used center weighted averaging. |

I love the colors and to me the sense of motion. I had never seen this technique before or know anything about it. I'm a novice and learning different techniques done so successfully Is a reason I enjoy these discussion groups. |

Emmy, I love the colors and composition. The path in the middle draws me to look along the path. I especially like the fall colors. where I am in Florida the only seasonal changes are the colors of the license plates. I didn't even notice the color of the sky.

Great shot. Just curious, how many shots did you take and di you try a lot of different view points? I like the way the sunlight reflects off the tree limbs in the top left quadrant. IMHO this is magazine quality. |

Wow, Damon. Tack sharp. I have unsuccessfully tried closeup of bees (no where this good) often. I just don't have the experience to begin to comment on this.
