I do not understand the obviously wrong converted picture inclusive the original. Henry, can I send you a better version? |

I like this picture, Henry. The pine sticking into the cloud is a good story. Is it possible, to darken the pine? It seems to me as if the white cloud is the main subject? |

What a lovely ugly beauty! Seems he had crashed the hairdryer or he had a contact with a power outlet. You caught him very well, sharp eyes (I like that!) and both of them (I like it more!). The feathers are sharp too, perfect. A little bit disturbing is the part above the neck. Did you edit the background? |

Duel or conversation: Big picture, Ernoe! This is sharp, a good story and the birds are well placed. My only suggestion is, to cut away the gras on the top. 4:3 --> 3:2? |

Butch, I'd love to get a shot of a cardinal sometime. So, this is a great shot. As a photographer and a judge, I'm very open to suggestions regarding movement. Motion blur, as you rightly point out, adds dynamism to the image. Since the bird itself is in focus, especially the eye, I see the blur as a positive. Of course, I know all too well that such a bright color in the sun hardly reveals any detail (belly and breast). A faster shutter speed or a smaller aperture might have been more helpful there. It's difficult to photograph - such situations are usually quite thankless. So, if a judge were to reject this image, it would probably be for this reason. From me: Thumbs up! |
