Henry, it is wonderful to see water flow like this. I agree with the others, the twig disturbs a bit. You are sure about black and white? It seems, there is a brown tone (the water deserves more white). Probably generated while lighten up the dark parts? And, try to let the water flow out of the picture in the bottom right corner. |

Charles, welcome to the club!
The metal is reflecting the sun without overexposure. The darker parts like the gras, the flower on the right and the sky are framing the middle of the picture well. What I like most is the symmetry of the longitudinal struts. |

What a lovely picture, Nenette! Some reminder of past days - laughing eyes and bubbles all around. Perfect background and the model is super! |

Minimalism in the dessert. Perfect, Sheldon! The cloudy sky frames the situation well! Congrats! |

Murphy, I like the photo! All elements are well composed to a perfect picture. From light to dark parts, from technic to nature. No suggestions! |

Ed, welcome to the group!
it took me a time to realize, what the picture is showing. I am a nature photographer too and I like the common murres sticking at the wall, breeding on a piece of land not greater than a coin. Great to see this in nature. Though you have done the conversion to monochrome very good, I would prefer the original. You will see the story quicker and more powerful. |

Butch, what happened? We are showing birds! Of course this is a strong photo and of course the feathers alone will tell the story. What a majestic picture and an impressive wingspan! And that proud look. I'm not sure if I prefer the monochrome version; would like to see the colored version too! |

I love scenes like that, Kathleen. Birds in interaction. The situation changes with every second, so you must be able to make a serial shot about at least 10-15 photos. Try it out, if you have the time and the patient. It is better to throw away 10 pictures of 11 but to have not the right one. I really do not know, how this story continued, but I woulöd have been interested in! |

Wow, how he cuts the water with his beak! Wonderful image, Roy! But I think, this is the utmost limit for the crop. You already see artifacts on the water (upper right from the beak). Probably a little bit to much Topaz? |

Ernoe, I like your picture. Jays are colourful and curious. They are tried out the whole environment before they are acting. It's good, catch them n a calm moment like this one! I know, that you are very busy in international contests. I think, that the background is still too restless and the bird would be more powerful with a little bit saturation to show more from the brown parts. |
