Well seen, Henry! The newer bricks and the old relief together are telling a good story. A good geometry and the 3D effect of the relief making the picture perfect! Good job! |

Perfectly shot of this overwhelming dome! I always raise my camera up to the ceiling when I'm inside a church. Wonderful pictures with enormous details. Well captured, perfect centered. The arches are leading to the midst of the dome. Very good not to place it in the middle of the picture. Well done! |

I like the photo, Sheldon! It's a still life well composed with grid in the window. Stone, iron and nature well positioned. I had the same idea like Henry - the left wall is not vertical. In my opinion this picture could also be a landscape format to show more of the flowers and the complete window. Would be interesting to see the result! |

Lost places, morbidity, ancient buildings - the best way to show what they once might have been is monochrome. You made a perfect shot, Murphy! I would like to shot more of these, but here in Germany old buildings are often the aim of vandalism. What I like most is the nearly white gras and the rotten fence leading to the main object. Not only the toning, but the whole composition is top! |

Welcome to the group, Ed! More than the colored picture I like the 3D effect in the monochrome version. I'm with Henry and Murphy to get rid of the dark point on the right side. The contrast is amazing! |

Thanks to all! Sure, the birds are tight on the left side; so the original. More than that, I added a little bit on the right side because I didn't want, that the wing was touching the border. And yes, I had much to do to clean up the forground. I was really surprised about the speed the gannet arrived and immediately started planning offspring. 150mm, I could not give more, going back a little, no time. But the speed of this situation reminded me of an execution (a bit sarcastic). |
