11 Jan 25 Reply Henry, you are right! The brightness is better. Cropping the photo will bring the ball near the left edge. Indeed I wanted to avoid this. But it is another option; I agree.

This was a first experience. I want to make the ball smaller I can probably draw the line from angle to angle and place the ball into golden ratio. Will have more sessions with that ...

11 Jan 25 Comment Well done, Henry! I would have chosen similar recording parameters. I suppose, you have a ND 64? Very good light and shadows. The structure of the stones is perfect. No suggestions, big shot! Jan 8th
11 Jan 25 Comment Wow! How tall is he? Seems to be a giant (in combination with the fine background). Very expressive, Peter! Big shot! Jan 8th

97 Jan 25 Comment Well, I do not know, where my laudatio went - the comment is missing! But I do remember, that I was flashed from the perfect light meets the egret. The feathers are like a crown and the monochrome version of your picture underlines a great scene! Well done, Butch! Jan 12th

97 Jan 25 Reply Thanks Ernoe! You're right! I have chosen a 16:9 format. But a 3:2 will do it as well! Jan 8th
97 Jan 25 Comment Very expressive picture, Kathleen. Sharp, colorful and a good story. Well placed, with mirror and a fine background. If you don't want to place it in some exhibitions under Nature, I also would suggest to remove the piece of grass in the front. Good job! Jan 8th
97 Jan 25 Comment It's a bit like some human beings: Can't get enough! Seems to be a natural problem, ha! Incredible shot Roy! To darken the photo like Butch suggested would be the only hint I can give. Congrats to a perfect shot to th e right time!

97 Jan 25 Comment First class cormorants too, Barsi! Congrats. A very good shot - I bet, you've been diving somehow? Ha!. The perspective is perfect. Did you tried it to bring the picture in a low-key? Jan 1st
97 Jan 25 Comment Phantastic, Julia! Sharp shot, good color, well placed and a good background. I'm shooting birds very often and I know for sure, that it is very difficult to get the background into a fine bokeh. The grass behind is a little bit disturbing - but don't care, this is a high class nature photo! Jan 1st
