11 Aug 20 Reply I think so too, Allen. Perhaps another word to the wall. This is a solid, stone builded wall - even it looks like something else. I found this fact very interesting. So on the white painted wall (no mirror) you may see, that there are about 10 different shades of grey - two for every floor. There, where the stripes are turning to white, may be reflections of light from the gangway behind the wall. The darker stripes are the refections of the ceiling. I was impressed, that every "pair" of stripes got brighter the more you get on top. This is, why I mean, the wall is essential. Aug 21st
11 Aug 20 Reply Thank you, Ian! In fact, I'm just starting with monochrome pictures and I do not know much about design and lines, forms an so on. What I want to say is, that this was an inituitve picture and I'm not sure if I can held this level.

11 Aug 20 Comment Thank you for your suggestion, Henry. Indeed, I do not need the left part. Of course you must not have the traditional cut of 3*2 - but I think, that the picture would get too tough. Once I've heard, that architecture needs place to breath. I'll try it out ... From this point of view the motif is suboptimal. I have another stairwell where the proportions fit better (October I think). Aug 9th
11 Aug 20 Reply Hello Sharon! So I actually do not know how to introduce myself in this group - it's great to be here and I'm glad to have the chance to discuss with you.

Some of my friends gave me the hint, to take the grey part out of the picture. Does not work - this is essential. It's not a "free" stairwell; The grey part is a wall. Behind this wall persons must go to reach the next steps upwards.

Your view has very much charme! I could imagine using this proposal in the future!
