Overall, I agree with your recommendation. However, I still like my version with the branch as my intent was to frame the image and provide some sense of depth.
However, in your visual feedback, you left part of the branch, which in my opinion looks like someone just sawed it off!
In Luminar Neo, I removed the rest of that branch which I feel gives this image a better overall look. The result is what I think you intended in your visual feedback.
I have attached a composite image of the two versions of this shot side by side. On the left is your VF with the branch remnant circled in RED. And on the right is my modified version with the branch completely removed.
I also like Prasad's suggestion to reformat the image in a panoramic format.
That being said, I think this shot with or without the branch looks equally good. It's just a matter of personal preference. |

Keith, thanks for your your feedback. I personally like that tree branch as my intent was to frame the image and give it some depth.
That being said, if you are going to remove that branch you really need to remove the whole branch. I your version, it looks like someone sawed it off! Look at your image again. I have circled the branch remnant in RED. |

Laurie, this is a really interesting shot. I love the perspective it provides as it really draws in the viewer.
It appears to me that the image was shot with a slight wide-angle setting as the buildings on either side of the cobblestone path appear to be leaning.
Overall, a beautiful example of street photography. |

What a beautiful shot! I love your composition and overall the image has significant visual impact. Also the fog rolling in over the trees gives the image a sense of depth. I almost feel like I am standing on the bridge with you!
However, it appears that the horizon line is not quite straight - i.e. it is slightly lower on the left.
Otherwise, what a great capture! |

What a beautiful shot of this old and dilapidated house! YOur composition exudes peacefulness and serenity. Overall your exposure, contrast, saturation, etc. are "spot on"!
Too bad the family that owns this property is not motivated to restore this beautiful homestead to its former glory! |

Andrew, this is a really beautiful shot. The perspective it provides gives one the impression that the viewer is walking down the sandy path toward the ocean.
The composition is very good and overall this image has significant visual impact.
Thanks for sharing.

Above description is incorrect. Here is the correct description of this image:
"This past week, my wife and I took a trip back to our hometown - Southington, CT - to visit family. While there, we took an opportunity to visit Crescent Lake (which is also in Southington) to view the fall foliage, which we haven't seen in person since we moved West over 20 years ago.
"This shot was taken with my IPhone 13 (Yes, my IPhone! Crazy, right!). This scene was absolutely breathtaking, of which I took several shots. But this one is my favorite.
I made my typical adjustments in Capture One Pro 23. But this shot is representative of the actual scene on the day it was taken." |
