Laurie, thanks for your input. I have another shot of this same scene that focuses more on the lichen and water.

Beautiful shot! Opportunities like this one only come around once in a while.
This image is well composed, and the exposure, contrast, and saturation are perfect.
However, the only suggestion I have is to perhaps add some sharpening to bring out the more detail in the bird's feathers. |

Kathleen, this is a really beautiful shot! The image is incredibly sharp, and the composition is perfect.
Contrary to Andrew's comment, I don't find that the tree diminishes the impact. Rather, I think it adds an element of depth.

This is a really well composed shot, and I realize it is an image of fall foliage, but to me it seems a bit oversaturated.
You may want to consider reducing the saturation just slightly.
That being said, I concur with everyone else comments. |

Thanks for all of your objective feedback. I went back and made some additional modifications by creating a mask for the sand and adjusting the luminosity.
I think the photo looks much better now. Let me know what you guys think. |
