Xiao,
I like your composition and I think the conversion to sepia is interesting. You have captured the street atmosphere quite well. The seriousness on the model face expresses what he is busy with on his laptop.
I would have like to see the stars as well in the flags above and if the image were mine I would crop out the pole with the electric box behind the model. |

Indeed a very interesting image and your conversion from original is very well done. Fully agree with Tom that the crop is too tight on the right leaving no space for the planes to fly into. In addition I would also suggest to try and clone out the lowermost plane that is half hidden by the smoke. Thanks for including the explanation about the 'Victory Day Fly Past' |

Visiting and photographing old cemeteries indeed is not for everyone. I know some who have gone and photographed in cemeteries at night. Having said that I have visited old cemeteries in Paris, Santiago de Chile and Lwow and found many sculptures on the graves to be real pieces of art depicting the deep sorrow and emotions felt at the loss like in the image you have posted. I like your composition and I think you have worked on the image quite well to bring out the details and highlights. The play of light and shade is very interestingly captured.
If it were mine I would further adjust the lighting, remove few of the bright spots and adjust the bright area around the starburst.

Darcy, you have a very fine image of the sunflower in vibrant colors. I like including the green leaf in the image that complements the yellow of the flower. Like your title too that suits the image and points my attention to the bee. The diffused background is well done.
I personally would like to see a little more of the flower on the left side. Also a suggestion to size the image about 1024x768 size so that more details of the bee can be seen as in this small image it's presence is not much noticeable. |
