I find the ripples in the sand and shadows make an interesting though odd pattern here and the image appears like an abstract. I think with good DOF the details in the sand have been captured well. Perhaps the blue color cast in the shadows comes from the white balance setting you had when the image was taken.

I think you have captured a very emotional moment. One can feel the security the child has by placing it's delicate hand In an adult's strong grip Regarding the crop, I think what you have in the frame does deliver the message beautifully.
A more pronounced blur in the stone pavement in the background would indeed help to keep the viewer's attention to the main oint of interest. |

Thanks. Yes I thought as well and did take it out but on second thought felt it broke the monotony. |

Thanks for your encouraging remarks. No special processing except adjusting whites and blacks. Chose a spot from where the sun was at the right angle. |

I think your approach of transferring the image into an almost surreal piece of art is quite interesting. Looking at the image, I feel as if the tree was frozen in time.
Personally I am not too sure of the border on top and sides, perhaps it would be better to have it same as at the bottom. |

I find it a very well captured image in precise exposure bringing out vibrant colors and details in the subject. The dark background, in my opinion suits the image very well making the subject very prominent in the frame. Agree with Larry and Stuart about the stems. |

It is rare to see a single dainty mushroom in a field of grass and I think you have captured it beautifully. I like the way the main subject stands out against the blurred grass.
In my opinion increasing the sharpness of the mushroom and applying a bit of vignette effect will enhance the presentation. |

I like the play of light and shadow on the door. The clarity and sharpness in the image is, in my opinion, very good. I like the position of the door in the frame.
Like Stuart, I too would prefer the red to be more intense to go with the title and yes the plaster patch does take my eye away from the main subject. |
