Knowing when to stop is a skill we all need, and your "simple" treatment is very well done. It renders the background more interesting and doesn't detract from the image of the fisherman himself. |

This a vibrant, very appealing rendition, definitely an improvement over the original. Your treatment of the flower does make it Van Gogh-like, and your changes to the background are a clear plus. |
