Andrew and John,
Thanks for your suggestions of alternate ways to present this image. I thought I'd have time to produce and post the new images, but once again the time got away from me this month. |

Thank you Bev! The process in post produced dozens of choices. I altered the degree of Twirl and 3 different parameters in Pixelate until the result seemed right. Once the shapes were ok, it seemed clear that the shading was unbalanced, so I brightened up the top half of the image. |

Andrew, Thanks for your comments! I've come to look at the image as an outward rush of color and energy with the centered view as part of that. Your idea of a crop is interesting, though. If things quiet down here a bit, I'll give that a try. |

Thanks, John! That's an interesting suggestion; I hadn't considered it before. If I make anything worthwhile with blend modes I'll post the result. |

Hi John and welcome to the group!
I really like this image! The starting point was already quite out of the ordinary, but the woodland texture boosts the effect a lot. Great title! |

Jim,
This is great fun! Technically well done, and gives me a new mental image of "Big Agriculture". |

Mike,
Very well done! The title is perfect for this image, and you did create a very frightening impression of a meltdown. I think the image as presented is a clear improvement over original 2, as the loss of detail enhances the emotional impact. |

I think this filter suits the subject very well. I agree with Mike that the top portion of the sculpture would be shown better if it were a bit lighter. |

Ian,This is really fun and creative! Reminiscent of M.C. Escher, but with elements of your own making. I particularly like the addition of the bolts, which reinforce the feeling of a physical structure even though the geometry is impossible. |
