Mike, The original image is already lovely, abstract, great texture and colors. The slight twirl is a great touch, and the textures in the new image are even better than before. I've spent a fair amount of time looking at it already; probably will spend some more. |

It is a beautiful image, Ian. Such a surprising change (for the better) from the original. Like the others, I plan to experiment with the technique you outlined. Many thanks to you and the originator for the idea. |

Mike, Your comment about the image being drab is spot-on. I realized after I submitted it that I had overdosed on Photoshop getting to the basic structure, but stopped short before optimizing it. I have a few thoughts about improving it also, with selective changes to the ship. Hope to send another version shortly. |
