Hi Gary,
I am delighted that you like this image. It is one of my favorites. It is Half Dome and was taken with a Nikon D200 with a wide angle zoom lens (not sure which one). I moved from Nikon to Olympus a few years ago to shed the heavy equipment. I don't remember how I had set the camera for this shot. I resurrected it this year when a friend wanted shots of Yosemite. I played with it in color and liked it, but when I did a black and white conversion with the clarity turned way up I was even more impressed. The textures and the various elements were dodged and burned in Lightroom to create dimension. The trick to good black and white images is to first get a strong color exposure. Then convert it in lightroom and play with the luminosity sliders and work it. |

I love the shot and the placement in the frame. I would lighten the bird a bit so it stands out from the background. |

Nice grab. The chipmunk is sharp. I might add a slight vignette to the image. |

You did a great job with this image. It is unfortunate that it is not in sharp focus, but otherwise well done. |

Nicely edited. I agree with Mare about the ducks. |
