This is a solid composition with tack sharp focus throughout. Well done. |

I also like the choice of shutter speed and way this is cropped (after the border is gone). I like what Beverly did and I think that somewhere in between her sharpness and your version would work best for me. Great shot! |

Here is an attempt to give this a different backdrop. It was a grey sky that day. |

I will give it a try. However, my feeling is that textures fit better with floral subjects and still live images. I am going for a more Audobon feel. Thanks for your input. |

I am a sucker for reflections and this one is very nicely composed. The only rainy thing I would change is to remove the rectangle and post on the lower left side. It is a bit distracting. Super shot! |

The color palette is lovely and the combination of both crispness and out of focus is very interesting. It looks like a picture taken through a window with water running down it. Fun! |

I have not been to the Badlands either. I like the placement of the hill in the frame and the detail that you got. The sky looks a little strange, maybe the blue is too dark? Nicely done. |

I like the placement of the rose in a square frame. I agree withMary that the softer tone of the original rose image look more natural and might blend better with the new background. There are a couple of places where the transition between the rose and the background is too easily seen. Have you tried using a background featuring more blue tones? It might make the orange of the rose stand out even more. What a nice capture! |
