Such determination! The colors are just the right contrast. It seems a little too contrasty and sharp. A little softer approach might tell the story better. Fabulous capture! |

I really like the composition with the paintings leading to the painter as well as the sharpness and the contrast of the vibrant colors in the paintings and the more subdued tones of the rest of the scene. |

Thank you Jamie. I think the blemish you see is actually the end of the stigma. I thought about removing it until I realized it was part of the plant. |

I am glad you like the image. Here are some details: I used an Olympus EMI Mark II micro 4/3 camera. ISO 400, f 5.6 at 1/1250 second, with an Olympus 40-150 f2.8 lens. I was on Aperature control and I set the exposure adjustment to -2 stops. I adjusted the curve in Photoshop to bring up the highlights a bit and reduce the shadows a bit. I also used the brush in Lightroom to adjust the background. Normally this flower shows as a very bright white. |
