Stanley,
What a fine view. I wish that the water fall and the sky were not so bright. It is really hard to get an exposure when the range is so wide. The image feels the the reward after a long trek. |

Jean, I like the warmth of the image. It bugs me a bit not to see the top of the pine tree. I think the topaz kick up works on the house, but takes away from the soft feel of the image. Nicely done. |

Hi Emily,
I really like the story told about old and new together. The harsh light of this time of day makes getting an exposure really difficult. I cropped the image and adjusted the exposure on the buildings and the foreground tree. Let me know what you think. |

Pretty in pink! Nice capture. I wouldn't change a thing. |

I like the feeling that it is looking over the ridge. Good angle. I might dehaze the sky a bit to bring out the blue and make the clouds a bit more distinct. Nicely done. |

I love the color palette and the composition. I suggest softening the border between the flower and the background so it is a little more like the stem. |

Thanks for the compliment. For doing a background. I am collecting images for use as backgrounds in Lightroom. I bring in an image with the texture and color that I want as the background. I size it as needed to cover the main image. I reduce the opacity, so I can see through it and then flip through the modes to see what works best. Then I add a layer mask to the background. I select the mask and use the brush tool set with low opacity and low flow to reveal my main subject. Sometime I use multiple backgrounds to get the effect I want. |
