38 Jan 25 Reply Gabriele, I looked up the age of some earlier bridges in Venice and found that about 800 years isn't unrealist. This one looks like it could be close to that, as well as a couple of the building along the way. It is such a beautiful City with a tremendous amount of history. We loved seeing some of it! Jan 28th
38 Jan 25 Reply Curtis, what I also forgot to add was that when I masked the area around the bridge, I meant to go back and unmask the driver, but that didn't happen. Actually, I like how it turned out and his softer look. Jan 28th
38 Jan 25 Reply Regine, I agree using Topaz (plus PS software) on this picture made a big difference. I kept the sky the way it was because I did not want it to compete colors of the building and bridge. The man on the right is still there, he is softer looking and fades into the picture better. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Jan 28th
38 Jan 25 Reply Marge, Venice is a beautiful place to spend time exploring the area, which we had been there longer. Hope you'll be able to go! Jan 28th
38 Jan 25 Reply Art, as always I appreciate you showing a different perspective of an image. And thank you for your kind words! Jan 28th
38 Jan 25 Reply Curtis, I faded the gondola driver by creating a mask in PS Camera Raw so the people under the bridge would stand out more and also to remove the bright glare of sunlight over the bridge. Am glad you like this, thank you for your kind words! This is hanging in our great room now. Jan 28th

46 Jan 25 Comment Xiao, I love everything about your picture! The bird is tack sharp and your post editing is perfect, such terrific colors. Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Comment Ted, this is a beautiful bird and your image is perfect, very sharp and great detail. I was curious to how it would look if cropped with a little bit of foliage showing. Great job! Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Comment Lisa, your action shot is unbelievable...impeccable timing on your part. Everything about this is perfect, great work! Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Comment Thank you, Marilyn. The sun was a bit brighter than I like and I did not have a filter on the lens. Now I wish I did have it on. Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Reply Xiao, thank you so much for your kind words. It is hard to describe the power and strength I felt from this eagle up close. This Center has special times just for photographers, so we were allowed to take great closeup action and still shots. When editing, I didn't want the background to compete with this magnificent bird nor did I want to show him on a solid-colored background. Thank you again! (As a side note, this Center is located about an hour drive from Charleston, SC.) Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Reply Maria, thank you so much. Yes, a great story of endurance, recovery and caring for an injured bird that would have died in the wild and turning it into a positive situation to educate others. Some of these centers do amazing work, especially those that teach the public how to protect wildlife, especially this particular center in SC. Jan 28th
46 Jan 25 Reply Ted, if you ever have an opportunity to visit a avian conservation center I think you would really enjoy learning about the birds. Jan 28th
