Regine, Julieanne Kost is a very good PS instructor, and she has tutorials on YouTube. Also, Phlearn and PiXimperfect are equally as good. Hope this helps! |

Marge, your timing in taking this picture was perfect, seeing this sleepy Barred Owl must have been a pleasant surprise! Personally, I prefer how Kurtis cropped this image to show some of the owl's habitat and also toned down the color of the sky to compliment the owl. A great picture! |

Kurtis, this is a great action shot and showing the other cowboys the way you did adds to the drama. A great job editing under poor lighting conditions. |

Regine, I love your picture and especially your story! This is a beautiful picture. The owl is sharp and stands out nicely against the green bokeh background.
To edit I use Adobe Photoshop software which also includes Bridge for more fine tune editing. Your picture was opened in Bridge where these adjustment were made: increased contrast, shadows and whites. Decreased exposure, highlights and blacks. Added a little texture. Then moved into PS to clone the branches using the Remove Tool and Clone Stamp and cropped by 1/3's and deliberately left a little foliage to show the habitat area. Although, it could easily be cropped in tighter to only show your Barred owl. |

Lisa, I think Anhinga's have such interesting black and white designs on their bodies. You captured this one perfectly, especially the position of his neck and head! |

This is a great picture, Maria, you captured the Cormoran perfectly at eye level. I also think having a little more space in front of the bird visually gives him more flying room. |

Ted, this is a great action shot showing the heron diving for food, your timing was perfect. Nice colors although it does appear to be a little too sharp on my screen. |
