Very creative Sunandan and I think it tells your story beautifully! What I see is the minimalistic composition, surreal red and green tones, silhouette of a curved branch with three birds over top of the sinking building and the drama of the diagonal lightening bolt. Great composition! |

Art, WoW, your picture is terrific!! I love everything about it; the composition, lighting on the right side, sharpness of details and contrasting textures. A perfect shot in B&W with an interesting story to tell. |

Regine, this is a beautiful shot of the pelican in motion, love the position of the wings. I also like how Art created more contrast between the wave and pelican and extended the right side. Well done! |

Gabriel, I really like everything about this picture and I would not change anything. I think the natural light beautifully enchances the georgeous colors and your crop showing more of the blues frames the dome and windows perfectly.

Art, I agree the painter seems to make this picture; his clothing and stance as he paints. Also, he presents a nice contrast to the ruggedness of the scene. I like the way you edited it to give the image more life. Generally, I like seeing movement flow from left to right, am glad you flipped it! Thank you for your critique. |

Kurtis, thank you for your very kind words! To me, the fascinating details and colors in the rocks are captivating and beg to be noticed. Plus, adding the suggestion of a horizon accents the beauty and power of the Atlantic Ocean! Once again, thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! (As a side note, by using my iPhone 11 Pro Max and good editing software the results turned out to be very surprising.) |

LOL, Jack, we must think alike about photography and a golf game! When re-editing this image based on everyone's thoughts I decided to crop it differently. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts! |

Marilyn, you are right, the grass on the heron was a big distraction. In a re-edited I also cropped further out to see how it looks. Thank you for your comments! |

Art I also like the over the shoulder look. As I was taking the shot there was another bird trying to steal the fish so the heron was busy dodging him and also keeping an eye on me at the same time! The tight crop also looks good and another option is seeing the feather details on the heron. I re-edited the image below to see how it would look. Thank you for stopping by! |

Richard, I like seeing more for the heron's lovely feathers so my re-edit and took everyone's thoughts in consideration except for including more of the heron along with his environment. Thank you for your thoughts! |

Marilyn, you have captured such an interesting picture! Probably not the best pose of a pelican but there is plenty of nice contrast and sharpness. And, I certainly agree with the others about entering it in the Animal comedy contest! |

Maria, I was immediately drawn to your image by the positions of the birds' heads as they seem to be looking directly are each other, so sharp with nice coloring! I agree with the others concerning the left side and also like the way Richard darken the sky to add more contrast. Really nice composition and a great job! |
