Sunandan, I really like your image. The details in the landscape and building in various shades of golds and yellows are so interesting that my eyes want to spend time taking everything in. Although to me personally, the bright red dress wants to visually dominate. I decided to try toning it down some in PS to soften the color a bit. Hope you don't mind, I feel this is a great subject with an interesting story. Nice job!! |

Marge, what a great picture! And, you did a terrific job of capturing the horse just at the right time in mid-gallop! Blurring the background along with dodging and burning as Art did helped to draw more attention to the horse and rider. Although, I have a feeling that selecting and moving the subject to a different background would really make this a fabulous image. I love your picture! |

I love this picture Kurtis and you did a wonderful job editing it. I love horses and spent time around them years ago. To me, you captured their true spirit; the love and protectiveness they have towards each other which can also be seen when with people they love and respect. A truly beautiful picture! |

Regine, I love how the sunlight and fog blends in with the trees, lovely and very ethereal looking. I also prefer the vertical crop since all the focus is on this beautiful scene. Great job! |

Regine, thank you for suggesting different angles to consider when photographing the chapel. You are right, I think it will look a lot more interesting if part of the side is included. I appreciate your thoughts!! |

Art, I really like the way you introduced more contrast and also enhanced the sun light leading up to the door.
The stones and yellow leaves add to the picture, I didn't realize how overpowering the green color was. Plus, because of the way you cropped the image, When the house is removed in the background it looks like there is an inviting path beside the chapel leading to the woods. This is such a big improvement, thank you very much! |

Gabriele, what an great shot! I like the repeating lines (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) and only green, blue and brown colors in the picture. And, also the way Art cropped in closer to the foreground trees. Very nice. |

Thank you Gabriele,
You are right, I see that the background building should be cloned out. I like what you did to it.
I am wondering if cropping in closer to the chapel and perhaps somehow drawing more attention to the stone walls would help make the image more interesting. |
