A great picture Kurtis! To me, there are a lot of good things going on; the man's expression, his movements and the colors in his costume. I also really like the editing changes Art made by isolated the dancer so that he really stands out. Very nice! |

Art, when I first glanced at your image I had to stop and spend time studying it. To me, the visual movement created by the bird's body makes this picture work in addition to the lighting, contrast and lovely soft colors. I like this alot and prefer the color version. Beautiful work! |

Sunandan, I think this is a very good image and fits the guidelines you have chosen for Travel photography. The only suggestion I have to offer would be to tone down the red on the man's head and also the door? behind him. Plus the green on the walls. I feel this will automatically bring out more of the rich colors in the masks. I like this picture a lot! |

Gabriel, I think this is a very nice image which conveys the feeling of the Festival, very colorful and tells a story. I also like the way Art edited it. |

Thank you, Art, for your editing thoughts. I like how you subtly separated her body from the wave and the vignetting really helps to draw the eye. Definite improvement!
And Congratulations to you on being a multiple Winner at the 14th Annual International Color Awards. A wonderful accomplishment and well deserved! |

Kurtis, I agree it was too bad I missed capturing the expression on her face.😒😒 Sadly, I was not able be in a better position due to the contour of the pool and location of the life guard's stand. This meant standing up close on the left, the only option available. At least I was able to manually focus the Fuji FX18-55mm lens at 18mm. Thank you for your critique. |

Hi Gabriele, I wasn't able to get into a position to capture her face due to the pool location, as mentioned when replying to Kurtis. Too bad.😒 Although I was happy to see a little of her body and the circular spray of water. Camera burst mode was used and there is a series of ten shots between the time she left the top of the water slide until she hit the water. Perhaps it also would have been a better picture if the shutter speed was a little lower therefore showing motion as you suggested. Thank you for your help. |
