78 May 21 Comment Wow! Lucky you Mitch, this is a beautiful image.
I, like Mitch, prefer the original format as well.
Did you by chance take a shot that includes the top of the petal?

I am the viewer of a beautiful image and am not able to suggest any further improvements. Congratulations!

78 May 21 Comment Love your Mad Hatter Terry!
The expression on his face is a classic!
Suggestions from me?
Have you considered a little more colour and texture in the stones and the door? The colour and patterns in the Hatter's clothes tend to make the background seem a little washed out, despite your previous work.
My other suggestion would be to straighten the lines of the door. The image background appears to lean a tad to the left. (e.g. vertical line of the edge of the door)
Great image though. It makes me smile.

78 May 21 Comment Hi Sunil
Your post is a very challenging photograph to critique.
I am leaning towards the Original 2 as my preference. It has a real street photography feel to it and tells us a story.
I don't mind the bright yellow lights in this image, as there are other yellowy lights in the image that keep the eye roving over the composition in a circular movement, which is what we really want.
If I were to spend any time on an image, I'd choose the Original 2.
Bravo!

78 May 21 Comment Wow, great shot Jim.
I am captivated by those shadows created by the fenceline. They really make the shot work!
I hope that you do not think of me as unhelpful, but I'm at a loss for any other critique or improvement suggestions, apart from my original ... Wow!

78 May 21 Comment Congrats Brenda.
We can see the child's back, the slumped shoulders and hung head ...... all these things tell us a story, right from the first glance.
Photos that make us think and create our own story are gifts for our imagination.
You have already pointed out a few technical issues. I like your crop due to the frame created by the large overhead branch. The goats draw the eye even further into the image.

I have two small things you might like to consider.
Firstly, I would suggest a small rotation to the left so that the line of goats is horizontal.
Secondly, the brown shrubs behind the goats on the left hand side seem a little soft? Perhaps a little judicious sharpening?
