I'm impressed! I don't think it is too dark, it is really terrific! Congratulations Brenda. |

The highlighted lantern does draw the eye. Good luck in the competition Terry! Let us know how you go. |

Hi Terry
I have an admission to make, I can't find a High Pass filter thingo anywhere. I need a High Pass filter 101 lesson!
I have Photoshop, Lightroom and Topaz, but, sadly I cant work this one out. Can you assist please? |

Hi Brenda ... very impressed.
I prefer this edit!
The misty moon looks more authentic and the straighter walls work well! Bravo for your perseverance!
I wonder if you move the moon diagonally down and a little to the left (just enough to sit on the top rule of thirds cross-over line), it should balance the composition a little better?
Just a thought.

Beautiful Abdo! I have a fondness for seagulls.
I really like the two toned sky.
Only two small suggestions from me. Firstly remove the white spot on the birds beak, and consider making the seagull's feet a little redder to match the colour on the beak? |

Congratulations on your perseverance! I'm impressed. I get very frustrated with difficult compositing!
I hesitate to suggest a change; considering the work you have put into this image.
I wonder if the ghostly figure would have worked a little more harmoniously if she was smaller and was standing in front of the right-hand chair?
In that position, the window light on the floor would lead the eye to the figure at the chair, then her lantern light could finally lead the eye across the room to the man?
This image has so much potential!

I am very impressed by your final result after looking at the original. Really impressive!
It is a pity you do not recall the workflow, it would have been very interesting. |

Great shot! I like the effects you have achieved in this shot.
I had two suggestions, one was the halo and the other was adding a flame, but they have both been mentioned.
I also like the effect you achieved in the background!
Nice work.

This is a really nice, eye-catching shot Brenda!
Good idea to eliminate the people from the shot. I like your edited version.
I like the size of the sky. I wonder if it was just a tad darker, not much, just a little?
I also like Terry's idea of the moon. Although, I find that the brightness tends to draw my eye to the edge. If the moon was slightly smaller and placed on the top right third intersection, I wonder if that would harmonize the composition a little more? |
