Great night shot Jason! A photograph with cold light/blue highlights coupled with warm/yellow highlights is a challenge.
I have taken quite some time to comment on your photograph as it challenged my eye.
My eye roved around the photograph, yet I am unsure of the focal point ... the lights in the street? the bridge? or the road? or building beyond? Perhaps darkening some areas and highlighting others may enhance your focal point?

A beautiful romantic image Abdo!
I apologise, I am very late in giving you feedback. When reading the feedback of others, I agreed with most of the members' comments, such as the separation of the arms and the trees.
This is a gentle, sweet image that, in my humble opinion, merits soft and gentle processing.
I enjoyed the distance of the subject in your original photo. It told me that she was walking down the avenue and enjoying the moment. I also enjoyed the horizontal slashes of light across the pathway. |

Fabulous shot Terry. I have a friend that is into this kind of work with flour. I admire your work. You have really captured a wonderful image.
The second image with the hair on fire is my preferred. I find it more dynamic and the 'S' curves keep the eye roving around the image. Colour is also impressive. Not to sure about the red flash at the base of the image? It is a bit distracting. Perhaps remove? |

Hi Sunil. I love this kind of image.
I liked your processing of this image.
My thoughts wandered to whether you could make a little more of the reflections?
I used the Camera RAW filter to try and achieve similar processing to yours, then I used NIK Detail Extractor to bring out the reflections in the water.
It is a bit unclear due to the small file I worked with.

I like this image Jim. I was impressed at first glance.
The advice is very interesting. I am just beginning with layers, so I must start a 'Dialogue 78' document, so I can keep all these hints to try later.
I am off to search for the things Jason mentioned. |

This is an impressive shot if you took it on the move in a boat, especially holding up a 400mm! Well done!
My personal preference are your edits.
The only suggestions that I can offer are to:
1. perhaps crop a bit the right border. I prefer even spaces in this kind of image and my eye is drawn to that tree sitting on the right horizon.
2. I find the light water at the base draws my eye down and out of the image. If you darken the water somewhat at the base of the image it may help anchor the building? |

Thanks for your advice Jason. I am wondering .... if I open a RAW file or a JPG file in Photoshop, work onn it and then save it under a different image title, does that process degrade the original file? |

Hi Terry. Thanks for your advice. I had never even noticed Camera Raw filter in the drop-down menu before. It is amazing working with it on the JPGs!
I have had a play and used both your and Brenda's advice in the attached image. I also gave it a tweak with NIK Detail Extractor. I am much happier with the result.
In fact, I am so thrilled with Camera Raw filter it I will include it into my workflow when required. Now I am at home again I can play with it.
Here is my first try. |

Thank you Brenda. This photograph was taken from the roadside on a steep hill overlooking the valley. I agree with your comment. I will certainly have another edit. |

Hello all, I must apologise for being absent for so long. It was certainly not out of lack of interest. My elderly mother was taken to Emergency. I was alerted to collect her unexpectedly and she required home nursing. Leaving home in a rush I was severed from my computer and could not recall the correct Dialogue password. Back home now. |
