Great action shot! congrats! but I know what a judge would say looking at this picture. Next time try a wider aperture to get a blurry background because her the background is too busy . but I admire your skill to be able to freeze and pan the action . the horse is almost flying.. |

Sunandan, I am always amazed by your creativity. this new image is well composed . I love the building ,the feeling of an ancient architecture , the texture and the angle . Maybe a temple? I am not sure we need a human being to appreciate the image . But , to my taste , I 'll try to get the same palette of color ( old red would work ) . But here , your choice of red , doesn't please my eye . It is too much bright and contrasty. maybe you could try to work on the color of the dress. I don't know how but I am sure you can find a way in Photoshop. Overall, I like the idea and would be happy to see what you can achieve if you accept my comment as a constructive one . keep inspiring us . |

wow! Kurtis you got it ! I am really impressed by your skills in editing this picture . nice rendering . I like the golden color associated with the grey color, my eyes are dancing going from one to another . But most of all you were able to capture and select those four guys and their "Choreography" (if I can use this word to describe this beautiful pose ). We can feel the "camaraderie" between those horses and the sense of protection of one of their buddy. Great picture . Nail it!

Sylvia,
We are all looking for old stones or houses.....and I can understand why you stopped there and try to capture it .I like this composition ( of center) but yes I will try to clone out the house in the background or maybe you could have taken the church under a different angle . Have you tried to get the church with the right corner more in the foreground to get part of the right side of the building too. Or maybe kneeling down sometimes helps to get rid of unwanted background ....
try to crop the picture tight because the color and texture of the stones are really interesting with the colorful leaves .
I worked on your image in LR. I changed the WB to AUTO ( I found too much green in the stone ) I use Transform and I cropped to square . I didn't clone out but I think now the background is less disturbing and it is less work to clone it out . Hope you like my approach . |

Art, this is an outstanding picture. Your ICM experiment is very successful with this picture . it is abstract but yet one can see the face of this dancer and I really like that. this picture is not an accident , it is well mastered. To reply to Sunandan , to my taste this picture doesn't need a title to touch me . A prayer , a dancer , a flutist ....the subject is so vibrant of life . just a quick look at him gives you great energy for the day . looking forward to seeing to your next one . Congrats ! |

If I were to this place I would have taken the quite same picture . I can see what you saw here .. Patterns and symetry... and green and blue color working together . I agree with Kurtis , moving a little bit on the right would have been perfect . So cropping might help to create a good balance for the eyes .
The sky is beautiful.
I think the high definition landscape is equivalent of HDR , correct? in that case it worked, we can see details in the shadows except the first tree on the left.. Maybe you can bring up the shadows a little bit on this one ?
thank you for sharing pictures of your beautiful country .
I love cypresses, I am from the south west of France and we have also cypresses in the country side . very often, as a tradition, when they are planted at the entrance of a garden in front of the houses , you can guess how many children live in the house .
Please , keep shooting for our great pleasure. I love Italy.
