20 Jul 22 Comment I've just been hit by a 'Mack Flower'. You've achieved a real sense of depth and presence. Very artful and alive! Bravo! Jul 9th
20 Jul 22 Comment Shirley, I also like the drama that comes from higher contrast, and as Fred commented, the grain can be increased as well. Great subject and I love the image. Maybe consider backing off the intensity of the filter a smidge, if possible, to reduce the halo and apparent grain. Jul 9th
20 Jul 22 Comment Fred, thank you for the excellent editing 'tour de force'! Amazing result for such complex detail! Jul 9th
20 Jul 22 Comment Hi Bob, I use a different set of editing tools, so can't give you tech feedback. I do like the effect you've created, and I don't mind the blurred legs, as to me they contribute to the sense of speed. One suggestion is to crop in the right a bit as my eye is pulled up and to the right by the dark area. Good show!...Like it! Jul 9th
20 Jul 22 Comment Sam, Great impact in this image! I'm a fan of the Contemplative Photography techniques espoused by Michael Woods. I think this is an excellent example of 'Simplicity', using space to define the boundaries of the subject. Besides the lamp I would suggest that you make the black space on the right uniform as the boundary of the darkened building is a distraction as well. Loaded with Power...love it! Jul 9th

37 Jul 22 Reply Thanks Howard, I'll look into that halo effect a bit more. Jul 21st
37 Jul 22 Comment Fantastic! Some vignetting on the corners might add a bit more punch by drawing the eye more to the center. Jul 21st
37 Jul 22 Comment Works for me! Scary as all get out...makes me feel like I'm lunch meat :-) Jul 21st
37 Jul 22 Comment Excellent monochrome image...love the tonal range! I agree with the other comments about cropping. The bartender is the principal subject and his occupying more of the frame would have more impact. A nicely told story! Jul 21st
37 Jul 22 Comment Lee Ann, There seem to be two separate images, the fountain and its reflection, and the tower and foundation. Cropped individually, they are simpler and more impactful than when combined. Very nice capture of the fountain..especially your choice of a slower shutter speed to add some blur.

37 Jul 22 Comment Helen, I prefer your second image of two student's learning their art from the master's work. The guard and other museum trappings add context rather than distraction to my eye as well. A wonderful story of self-discovery, candidly captured. Love it! Jul 21st
