Helen, here's an example of increasing the appearance of the cloud structure. Using DXO Lab 5 Clearview function.
If the Victorians had a sinister streak, it might show in this rendering :-) |

Very nice lighting technique! Without the branches and stems, this would be a different image. I like them as to me they hint of a grounding or attachment to earth. Wonderful vibrancy in either case. |

Fascinating image! Alive with story! The verticals are definitely parallel, and to me there is still an apparent rightward leaning of the tower. Optical illusion? Ham's distorted brain? Not sure. There is an aliveness or personality to the building. There is interesting structure in the clouds. Increasing the contrast/microcontrast a bit might increase the overall drama. |

Being new to HDR photography, at first I thought just the exposure domain was being expanded. But now the 'psychedelic' effect seems to be an expansion of the color domain...and possibly even the temporal domain. I will continue to explore. Thanks for your comments, they are prodding me into new territory! |

Helen, request sent to Howard. Looking forward to seeing your image.
Having the boat and creek both in the image was intended. The reality of deep mud to my left meant possible immortalization as a future fossil had I moved there :-) |

Thanks Bob. The foreground was the darkest part of the image and the 1/15 sec exposure of the HDR set was most likely used. The shot was handheld which could explain the fuzziness. My focus point could have been too far away as well. Thanks for the observation...very helpful! |

You are very resourceful, Bob. Exquisite lighting, detail and composition. The Violas, how did you get them back together again? Weren't they in the same era as the Bee Gees and The Supremes? They certainly helped me smile on a dreary day...very artful work! |
