Helen,
Rarely have I seen such depth in a two dimensional form. This image brings me right there, holding a glass of Chardonnay, conversing with friends. Alive! Brilliant! |

The bird, of course, is fantastic. The technique precise and masterful. And O what magnificent light patterns and reflections!!!

Excellent composition, Bob. I really get a sense of 'presence' from this image. To me, the image has the quality of a painting...I sense that you, the photographer, are part of what is being presented to us.
Very, very cool! |

Peter, lovely scenic image. I'm going to be in Tahoe in three days...hope to get some images as nice as yours. I would like to see some more detail in the dark foreground and the tree on the left. If you can, you might try increasing the exposure locally of both in post processing...just a touch, 1/3 to 2/3 of a stop to show some detail.
Love the rocks! |

Hi Subhash,
This is an excellent bird action shot. Very difficult to accomplish. I do agree with Howard about the bird being a bit underexposed. Have you tried using HDR processing in post? That might help maintain the desired background a bring out some additional detail.

Peter, perfectly executed...and the subject behaved as well :-). Your image is very realistic and not overstated...that is very skillful on your part. |

Howard, Helen, Subhash,Bob,
Thanks for all your comments! I rarely go to B&W and extensive post processing, so this is a new journey for me. Your comments are very helpful!
