Helen, I really like the the contrast between the sharp and rich details of the 'head' and the soft and dreamier distant horizon. The title is quite appropriate, perhaps the image is a metaphor for our attempts to observe and discern the future? Very nice! |

Excellent image, Howard. The handling of the dynamic range in exposure between the directly lit white feathers and the shadowed head, neck and darker feathers is very nicely done. Nice sharpness and detail as well. Very enjoyable image. |

Bob, excellent focus, composition and shallow depth of field. A wonderful sense of hovering flight. The feeling of a bit too much white space on the right may be pulling my attention off the subject. Perhaps cropping some of that white space might help keep attention on the subject. A great and artistic pic! |

Peter, this has a nice appealing feel to it. Part of that is the wall color, and also its texture. The tree and lights also have a softness which is very inviting. Overall, a sense of warmth is captured which fits in nicely with the message of the Holidays. I definitely like the effect. |

Very nicely done Peter, it's hard to get this fine a portrait of a Snowy. Congrats! Focus and exposure seem to be tack on, and the dark, out of focus background is well positioned. What do you think about cropping the bottom and blurring the background in post processing even more? |
