For me this has become a study in frenetic lines, almost intimidating (in a good way). The processing seems to have given life, movement to those limbs. |

A good illusion, and I hope you share the secret :-) It is a nicely grumpy pear, full of character.
My one suggestion would be to take it into camera raw again and to drop the highlights.

I echo Lance's use of "dynamic" which was also my first thought, particularly helped I think by the contrast of the still and burred people (movement accentuated by the stationary). For me though the key element of the composition is the strong, off-center display case which thrusts my eye down into the space: it seems to drag me into the arcade.
[ not something I would normally key off, but I see two types of "crosses" in the image which is kind of an ironic reversal of the church vs commerce debate around Christmas] |

Peter, of course your technicals are all well executed. The boots seem large, but I think that works well because they contrast with the gentle, happy expressions of the two faces. The discarded fag ends (cigarette butts) give a sense of place/environment.
Your crop includes the canvas bag which does direct the narrative, and I think the crop was effected by the bench. To my eyes it makes the image physically imbalanced (bags vs woman, with man as center) and I would suggest that their portraits as a "couple" might be enhanced ... |
