Thank you Karen, I agree that the white line below the beak is distracting. Thanks for pointing that out |

Hi Erin, I do like your choice of B&W, it works well, adding the bats as props enhances the environmental feel to the image. Perhaps a crop close to the helmet may place more emphasis on the sitter. Well-handled posed shot. |

Hi Kamal, startling shot of a startling bird in full display mode. The viewer is drawn to the sharp eye with the detail and colour of the whole image handled well. I like your positioning in the frame, it works well for the pose. |

Hi Karen Portrait mode works well with the foreground rocks, inviting the viewer into the image. Composition, including the environment, makes for a stronger image and tells the story. Luminance on the tower is well handled with no blown-out areas, not always easy on an illuminated curved surface. well captured |

Hi Greg. Startling image, colours of the iguana stand out well from the background. Details are also handled extremely well, and I love the detail of the eye drawing the viewer in. |

Nice job, Darcy. The proportion of the main flower to the background creates a striking image. The depth of field works well, together with the detail in the subject, adding to the strength of the image. However, the bright detail in the bottom right of the flower is somewhat distracting, but I realise that's a minor issue and a bit picky on my part. |

Hi Ingrid,
You've captured a beautiful nature shot! The sharp focus on the duckling draws the viewer in, and the depth of field enhances the overall image. I also appreciate the framing; the space in front of the duckling gives it room to move. As a suggestion, consider experimenting with a vignette effect from the bottom to further direct attention to the duckling. |
