Hi Karen, I do agree that a bit more leading element on the left might add to the image, thanks for that input. Halo needs to go as well. |

Hi Greg nicely captured and presented image. The frame is definitely balanced throughout with some lovely images representing your time down there. Underwater photography is not an area I have carried out but would love to.
Nice image would serve well as an advertising promotional presentation |

Hi Kamal, I am always impressed with the way these military types do their precision drilling.
The colour palette works well, unfortunately the point of focus seems to be on the soldiers in the main group I might have preferred it to be on the main officer in the foreground, perhaps with a wider focus range.
As a suggestion try and either toned down further or eliminate the wind farm in the background. |

Hi Erin I do like the way you have isolated the centre of the flower to draw the attention to that point. I also remember the trouble I had working out the depth of field when using an 85 mm macro lens, I agree with Greg that in future use perhaps a tripod and if you going to be that wide with your focus perhaps using focus blending. However with the image you have now might I suggest embracing the blur and blur the petals progressively from the center to the outer section of the image, further drawing the attention into the centre of the flower |

Hi Karen,
Lovely image and as with Greg thanks for sharing history of this location. To me the point of view works well, and while the image is good as it stands the only thing I might do is perhaps darken in the lower section just marginally to see if that draws the viewer more to the building itself |

Hi Ingrid
Well captured image and a great idea to amalgamate two images to get the look you were after. Blurring the background together with the background tones definitely draws the attention to the main subject. As a suggestion flipped the image on the horizon which may draw the viewer more towards the more prominent bird currently on the left. Don't know if it will improve the image but worth a try.

Hi Darcy.
Lovely point of view to capture this butterfly generally filling the frame with the main subject also works very well. With the background blurred attention is drawn directly to the Butterfly. I agree with you that the DOF is a bit tight as you do seem close, to me the sharp area seem just behind the butterfly eye, on the wing. While it's a shame sometimes in these circumstances you have to take you can get. |
