Hi Leslie , thanks you and yes 20 images does sound extravagant, I found fewer images did not give me the ability to develop the white fluffy feathers accurately and with detail. Thank for the comment , and I do agree the Rainbow lorikeet is a beautiful bird to observe and photograph.

Well captured Kamal, I actually like the way you have chosen to crop and present the image. Your original image background is very busy, your presentation gives strength to the worker and tells the story. I might suggest a further crop from the top. Well seen captured and presented. |

Lovely image Erin, Selective focus works extremely well with the viewer being drawn to the eye immediately. The face tells the story of contemplation and or concentration on the competition and event. I believe the secondary player is necessary to create the environmental portrait. As a suggestion can you crop down or in just to eliminate the skin tones of the secondary player, I think this would make them even more ambiguous. |

Very nice image Darcy, I like the frame being in two sections, flowers v butterfly with the tones and textures in the butterfly's wings being extremely well captured. Sharpness and colour range adds to the beauty of the image.
A minor distraction for me is the dark green leaf below the butterfly's left wing. I find the detail and contrast distracts me from the main subject. Might just be the way I see it. |

Hi Karen, nice sharp image with the three mushrooms forming a triangle relationship with each other. The subtle hue ranges of the foliage form a nice contrast to the mushrooms. I think a worthy image for a competition, however I might desaturate the greens' in the background, a minor point but, to me, the green contrast with the main colour pallet.
Thanks for sharing |

Hi Ingrid, a lovely area to have so close to your home. Nice to have the rock anchoring the foreground then the river leading the viewer to the distant hill range. The subtle hue variations of the foliage contrasting with the river add interest to the image. I think the image might be improved if there was another location without as much foreground foliage, if there was such an area. Well seen and captured, thanks for sharing. |

Hi Greg, a very colourful place. Your collage acts as a very nice travel log of your journey, all images stand as excellent on their own and present as a point of interest for the viewer to explore.
For me the top line, centre image seem a bit lost in the other more vibrant images, perhaps a different image might strengthen the set.
Looks like you had a great visit.
