Thank you Karen, worthwhile suggestion, I was concentrating on the log raising among the leaves to anchor the shot, but I definitely could remove a section. Thanks, Tom |

Thank you Erin, It's definitely worth an experiment to see the outcome. Probably too much of leaves, I was concentrating on the log raising among the leaves to anchor the shot, but I definitely could remove a section. Thanks, Tom |

Well captured image Kamal, I particularly like the change in water colour from the workers zone to the deeper area, plenty of detail and the worker waving giver a fun feel to the image. Not much I can offer, I like the image as it is |

Hi Greg, another well-composed image with the lighting balance working extremely well. the smile on Ed' gives a loverly humanity feel to the scene.
Well captured professionally handled image |

Hi Ingrid
Spectacular vista, with the cloud formation dwarfing the grandeur of the mountain peaks. Again well seen and captured from a moving car.
On my screen, the sky component seems to have artifacts distracting from the image. I had a play and applied a minor blur (less than 1 pixel radius) which seemed to smooth out the sky a bit, a suggestion.

Hi Darcy
Loverly flowers with the stamen as the main focus, the glow of the petals adds beautifully to the image and the translucence, allowing the reflected backlight to shine through, adding to the golden glow of stamen in the front flower.
My only suggestion would be a crop. I had a play with this and while there are obviously many choices, I went for an aggressive crop, which probably breaks a lot of rules cutting off parts of the main elements, but presented here for your consideration.
Loverly image, obviously you have a talent in horticulture as well

Hi Karen.
Nice Panorama well constructed Panorama.
Plenty of detail in the buildings and the foreground with the background being quite evident as to what is there and not lost in the vista. Skies balance well with the clouds filling the void.
I am of two minds with this as a true representation for your Lighthouse collection I think the image represents reality and should stay as presented. It is a bit too close to the edge on the left for my eye, perhaps you have an image to extend the left side of the panorama, to include.
However, if entering a photographic contest I would probably flip the image on the horizon so that the eye is more naturally drawn to the right where the main subject is. This may not be reality however for a contest it might be a stronger image.
Looks like a lovely place to visit |

Hi Erin.
Nice image, the red of the uniform draws the viewer and makes him stand out. There is plenty of detail in the ice and on the net and as you say the slight blurring of the banner board draws attention directly to the player himself. My minor suggestion would be the hamburger banner behind the player's head is a distraction you might want to consider cloning that section out and leaving the glass as the only element there. Very well-captured image. |
